Our Purpose
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

What Do We Do?
Among other things, Delta Sigma Pi:
We are business students who want more than just the classroom. Our members are invited to j join through and complete a structured orientation designed to set them up for success from day one
We connect members to the real business world through exclusive company tours, industry speakers, career fairs, and hands-on professional development workshops that build both confidence and competence
We provide real-world experience by operating a chapter-run model business inspired by top organizations, giving members practical, resume-ready skills they can apply immediately
We promote academic excellence through peer-led study groups, collaborative learning, and a culture that pushes members to achieve at the highest level—inside and outside the classroom

Delta Sigma Pi is the foremost professional fraternity for men and women pursuing business careers.
For more than 100 years, Delta Sigma Pi has encouraged, supported, and shaped the professional goals and personal aspirations of thousands of members. Delta Sigma Pi gives its members a venue to develop skills they will need in the business world and throughout their personal lives. These skills include communication, public speaking, time management, and teamwork. Our professional events allow members to network with reputable companies while in search of internship and job opportunities. Each semester, Delta Sigma Pi hosts several presentations that aid the professional development of our members. Corporate representatives speak on a variety of topics for all majors, including what their recruiters look for in a candidate and what their company has to offer an IU student. |
Community Service

Delta Sigma Pi focuses on making a difference through community service.
Delta Sigma Pi is dedicated to making a difference, because business has both a unique opportunity and a compelling duty to contribute to the larger community. Frequent involvement in the community instills deep feelings of brotherhood while simultaneously developing critical business acumen. Members of the fraternity also have the opportunity to give back to the Bloomington community through volunteer work. They have the chance to help those in need and make a difference in the lives of others. Delta Sigma Pi takes seriously its commitment to making a lasting contribution to the Bloomington community. Past initiatives include IUDM for Riley Children's Hospital, Red Cross, the Hoosier Hills Food Bank, and the Boys and Girls Club. We have earned university, regional, and national recognition for our community service efforts. |
An event most near and dear to our chapters heart is our Annual Gala to raise funds for a Cancer initiative. In 2025 we raised roughly $19,000 towards the Caroline Symmes Children's Cancer Endowment.

It is Delta Sigma Pi’s social aspect that makes it unique among the dozens of other Indiana University organizations.
Delta Sigma Pi facilitates social activity among students, the community, and business organizations. The network of members around the world provides a wealth of business resources, professional contacts, continuing education opportunities, and community support to even the newest business graduate. While improving professional skills and giving back to the community, members make the most of their college years through DSP’s brotherhood. During pledgeship, brothers build bonds with one another that provide them with a robust support system and lifelong friends. We partake in a wide variety of social events, ranging from formal dances and tailgates to pick up basketball and half-marathons. Members of the fraternity have also participated in the Little 500 races. Our pledge program plants the seeds that, throughout a member’s college career, grow into friendships that last a lifetime. Delta Sigma Pi’s members boast a closeness that cannot be found in any other campus organization. |
