"When I arrived at IU my Freshman year, I felt overwhelmed by the size of the school and immediately started looking for a place that I could truly be myself and feel at "home." I found that "home" in Delta Sigma Pi during my second semester of college, and I am confident that my entire college experience has changed for the better as a result. The brotherhood introduced me to my best friends at IU, the hardest working individuals I have ever met, and a community that has supported both my professional aspirations as well as my passions. From help with interviews to help with life, joining Delta Sigma Pi was one of the best decisions I made Freshman year, and I highly encourage it for anybody looking for their "home within a home" at IU." DSP has had an incredible impact on my time at Indiana University. Joining my first semester freshman year was the best decision I have ever made. I instantly gained an amazing group of brothers. Brothers who have always been there for me in every capacity, whether it’s motivating me to pursue my passions, being there in times of need, or helping me succeed professionally. I can attribute my academic and professional accomplishments to DSP but more importantly DSP gave me greatest group of friends who I can call my family. I cannot imagine IU without the home away from home that is DSP. Joe Ettore

"The definition of a family is “a group of members who share values, common experiences, and unconditional, non-judgmental support,”—this is what DSP gave me. The most influential part of DSP is easily the people. Anyone can be trained professionally, but somehow DSP finds the perfect people who can embrace their uniquity but can still come together to be each other’s best friends, no matter your background. College can be hard. I struggled with the adjustment of being so far from home, but the brotherhood in DSP not only helped me get through these difficulties, but also transformed them into learning experiences. Just last week my DSP parent dropped everything in an instant to simply hold my hand through a difficult day. That day right there showed me that professional growth aside, DSP truly is that support system that helped me find my new home at IU. If I give anyone a piece of advice for college, it would be to apply for DSP. You’ll find a forever home away from home." Sarah Mathew

"Yes, college is difficult. You have your ups and downs, whether it be academically or personally. Joining Delta Sigma Pi made these challenges not only bearable, but turned them into learning experiences. I went from feeling like I could not face these hardships to knowing I could conquer them with a support system of over 140 people. Professional growth aside, DSP is my family, and a community that I am proud to call home here at IU. It can and will become the same for all its members, and no Brother will ever have to face any endeavor alone." Rhea Gajaria

"It’s no question that the greatest decision I've made in college, even my life, was deciding to recruit with Delta Sigma Pi. The impact this organization has had on my personal, social, and professional life is beyond words. Looking back on freshman year, I was an anxiety-ridden kid from a preppy New Jersey town who stuck out like a sore thumb. I found it incredibly difficult to make friends and soon found myself wanting to do everything I could to leave IU and head home. When second semester came around, I discovered business fraternities. Little did I know that one of them would end up being the place I called home for the next three years. Through pledgeship, I met some of my best friends and even scored an internship with a company I eventually would receive a return offer from. I've also had the opportunity to be on the executive board of DSP two times. First, I was VP of Community Service where I helped raise over $11,000 for the American Cancer Society, an opportunity only provided to me because of Delta Sigma Pi. Secondly, I was VP of Pledge Education, and had the amazing chance to mentor 27 kids, helping them grow as professionals and human beings. Now that I'm a senior, I've come to realize how spectacular this organization is. With a job lined up, friends I know will be at my wedding one day, and memories to last a lifetime, the best piece of advice I could give you is to stop what you are doing and apply for Delta. Sigma. Pi. You'll thank me someday." Jake Staples
