About Alpha Pi
The Alpha Pi Chapter at Indiana University was founded on December 19th, 1925. It was the first professional fraternity started on Indiana's campus, and was the 8th chapter started in the Big 10. The first members of Alpha-Pi were the leading students in the then School of Commerce and student activity. These brothers included Commerce Club Officers, Head Editors of the Hoosier Journal of Business, Varsity Athletic Managers, Athletes, Theatre Presidents, and more. The Alpha Pi chapter is located in the Central Region as a member of the North Central Province of Delta Sigma Pi Chapters. The Alpha Pi Chapter has had over 3,000 members initiated since it's start and currently has over 140 active brothers, making it one of the nation's largest chapters of Delta Sigma Pi. Additionally, Alpha Pi has received 17 Chapter Recognitions and Awards since 2007. Today, the Alpha Pi chapter strives to continue our success and to thrive professionally and personally.
